GOSSAMER VOLUME 2
PARADISE
2018
Gossamer is a biannual print magazine for the modern cannabis consumer. The magazine's audience is culturally aware and intellectually curious. Goal is to bridge the gap between the cannabis world—with all its outdated stereotypes and tired branding—and the larger lifestyle and luxury space in a creative, elevated, and accessible way. This second issue, titled ‘Paradise’, looking at paradise in multi-layered aspects: a personal paradise, paradisiacal stereotypes as well as failed societal concepts of paradise – paradise lost. The cover, shot by Thomas Prior, depicts an ironic contrast to the magazine’s title. In a photo editorial about Japan’s famous Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, Prior captures the work that’s being done before tourists arrive at the perfect Winter wonderland. We worked with an international array of photographers and illustrators, aiming to create a unique visual expression for every story. Gossamer hopes to change the perception of cannabis, modern cannabis consumers, and the conversation around legalization and social justice. Order your copy of gossamer here.
